Cala de Finestrat

Cala de Finestrat

Like your holiday atmosphere a little more serene and tranquil then Cala de Finestrat is certainly the place. I actually stayed in this part of Benidorm for Christmas and New Year and the weather was great. My place of stay at the time was the 3* hotel Torre Dorada. I felt it should have had a higher rating due to the facilities, swimming pool/games room/entertainment/friendly staff and much more etc.

What will stay with me forever about Cala de Finestrat and this hotel is the most amazing views of the whole of benidorm. (Depending which side of the hotel of course) And of an evening more fabulous to see is the streamline of hotels that line the whole of the promenade.

All brightly lit up like a mini Las Vegas with so many colorful sparkling glitzy neon lights. The beaches at this time of the evening so calm and sedate.

Cala de Finestat has everything that any tourist would need so if you did not want to venture down to the Levante beach side you don’t have too.

Beautiful little coves with an array of bars and cafes close by.

Shops trading there wares, souvenirs clothes and trinkets etc. Enjoy the open market.

It is all here a great selection of hotels to choose from. Cala de Finestrat views are not to be missed.

The hotel Torre Dorada stood along side the Grand Bali the highest hotel in Europe I am led to believe.

I also heard that Elton John was there on the opening night and further more Julio Eglesias is rumored to own the top penthouse suite. Never checked this out but I have reason to believe it is all true.

Rooms at the Torre Dorada were absolutely brilliant. Every floor leading to all rooms offered a home from home lobby with couches, rugs and plants all around. So you didn’t mind if you lost the key to your room because it was a pleasure just to sit in these areas alone. Cala de Finestrat food was great with wide varieties of choices. But the Torre Dorada took some beating in quality and excellent service.

It was New Years Eve and everyone was on their balconies waiting for the clock to strike twelve. And low and behold you knew midnight had arrived With the whole of Benidorm going frantic with fantastic firework displays that lit up the night skies. Huge bangs and explosions could be heard all over the Costa Blanca,

The best was yet to come for all the tourists in the Cala de Finestrat area.

Yes you guessed right. The Grand Bali hotel was now to let the whole of Benidorm know that they to were going to join in the fun like every other hotel that was marking this occasion.

And boy did this hotel do just that with magnificent firework displays. This hotel and the tremendous show that it put on stands up to its name (Grand)

Cala de Finestrat I recommend if you prefer the quieter relaxed laid back sort of holiday. It has all the shops bars cafes and restaurants you need. And if at any stage you would like to let your hair down and really party then nip down to Levante side for action.

The Torre Dorada is in a quiet residential location with excellent views of the sea, beaches and mountains. So close to the Poniente beach (200 meters) This hotel has 243 guestrooms which sleep between two and four people; you will find this hotel offers satellite television and air conditioning. The hotel has a very large swimming pool also a kiddie’s pool, a terrace bar with friendly staff and children’s play area to keep them occupied.
